Interview # 3... Abeeda

Hello again! This is the third interview so far, and I am very excited to introduce this amazing young lady to you! Her name is Abeeda, and that is all I will tell you, you'll have to read the rest for yourself. ;)

1. Choose five words to best describe yourself. Curious, talkative, simple, grateful and hopeful.

2. What is one thing few people know about you? I'm a big softie. :) I care a great deal about others.

3. Please tell us a little about yourself and your family. I am a young lady seeking the Saviour. I come from a rather large family, I have 3 sisters and 2 brothers. I have been blessed to have such a loving family. My parents are such a blessing to me, they have taught me so much.

4. Do you have a blog/website? If so, what is it about, and where can we find it? Yes I do, called "Abeeda's Journey". I write about my growing relationship with the Saviour, things that I am learning as I seek Him, my experience of living in a new country, things the Lord has placed on my heart, and more. You can find me at Abeeda's Journey

5. Do you play any instruments? Not really, I just started learning how to play the ukulele, I still have a long way to go, but I am really enjoying it. :)

6. What do you think it means to be set-apart? I think that being set-apart means that Christ abides in you, and you in Him (John 15v4-7) Only when you have Christ you, will people see the difference.

7. What is your idea of modest dress? My idea of modest dress is clothing that is simple, that covers you up, and keeps you comfortable. Nothing too tight, nothing too short, nothing too low. But most importantly, that brings honour to the Saviour.

Well, I think that sums it up. ;) While I only know Abeeda through the "Blogger World", I so much enjoy meeting new young ladies who have such an intense love for our Heavenly Father as she does. :) Stay tuned in for the next interview! Please leave your thoughts below, I love hearing what you have to say!! ;) Until next time... Shalom! ;)

Interview #2... Jamie

Hey there everybody! If you do not already know who Jamie is, I will tell you. ;) She is a great role model, modest, loving, caring, exciting, polite, funny and much, much more. So without further ado, here she is! :)

1. Choose five words to best describe yourself. Optimistic, easily pleased, musical, adventurous and hopeful :]

2. What is one thing few people know about you? That I'm actually very self-conscious and not half as confident as I'd like to be!

3. Please tell us a little about yourself and your family. I'm a simple girl living an amazing life~ what makes it amazing? The love of YAHWEH, my Father, King and Protector! And also the love of my family, their undying support and encouragement! My family consists of two wonderful parents, myself, my younger sister, and my little brother! All of us are very unique but my mom and I are very similar! She is my best friend and someone that I know will always have my back. :]

4. Do you have a blog/website? If so, what is it about, and where can we find it? Yes! I have a blog called, "From the Inside Out" which I use to blog my thoughts about spiritual matters, modesty, homemaking, life as a teenage stay-at-home daughter and more! You can find me at www.jamiesbloggerblog.blogspot.com!

5. Do you play any instruments? The piano and I LOVE it.

6. What do you think it means to be set apart? I think it means exactly what Scripture says: being IN the world but not OF the world. I think it means making a difference in Christ's Name while we're on the earth for a short time. I think it means being an upstanding example to our community, peers and friends!

7. What is your idea of modest dress?  My idea of modest dress is clothing that does not cause a brother to stumble. Shirts that have necklines covering all cleavage, have sleeves, and aren't too tight. Skirts that come below the knee. Pants that are loose-fitting and not "flashy" across the bottom. I think being modest is SO easy and fun once you get into the right mindset! :]

So, how did you like this interview? Should I keep interviewing other ladies? Please let me know your feedback!! And thank you so much Jamie for your time! :)

1st Interview... Halea

1. Choose five words to best describe yourself.
Shy, Adventurous, Funny, Reader, Modest

2. What is one thing few people know about you?
The way my name is spelled, H-A-L-E-A (instead of Hailey), means "love"... and my Hebrew name, Dodi means "My Beloved."

3. Please tell us a little about yourself and your family.
We are a simple family living in the Sunshine State =)
We love YHWH, and are trying to walk in His perfect ways.
We have been homeschooling for almost 5 years.

4. Do you have a blog/website? If so, what is it about?
Yep. =) It is called Halea's Refuge, and it is mainly the chronicles of my Torah Observance as a teenage American girl =)
I hope it is an encouragement to others on the narrow path, and peculiar to those seeking Truth.

5. Do you play any musical instruments?
Do bongos count? (he-he) I love to play them during worship! =o)

6. What do you think it means to be set-apart?
I think it means to follow YHWH's instructions (Torah), and that it is apparent to all those around, because you are untainted by the world... like Yoseph!
I also think being set-apart is about what you do once you realize you sin, not never-ever sinning... like David!

7. What is your idea of modest dress?
I can tell you how I try to dress modestly. When I am wearing a skirt, I make sure it is below my knees, with either tights or pants underneath. If I decide to wear pants, I make sure my shirt or skirt reach at least to mid-thigh, if not longer... and they are loose fitting. I wear sleeved shirts that reach to at least the middle of my upper arm. Also, I always wear undershirts, that are also loose fitting. And I do wear my head covered when I go out of the house, as well. I don't always wear my head covered in my house, unless I am studying Torah, or doing a bible study of some kind. Nothing too form fitting. =)
