As for Me and My House

Who will you serve?
As for me and my house we will serve Yahweh!
To one King we bow down, as for me and my house...

And we will not give our hearts to another, will not give our hearts to another. ♥

Sabbath Peace

I hope you Shabbat is going well! I am especially tired this Shabbat... I have been an assistant this week during VBS, and today was the last day, so we spent about six hours tearing down everything, and then I had to come home and clean the house still! But during the whole day, I have had a certain song stuck in my head. It was one that the kids learned motions to at VBS, and here is the video they watched...

And here is another version by Jeremy Camp... (The intro is 0:37 seconds long:)

And here is another song that the kids learned. I learned it when I was a little girl, but it is still one of my favorites! :)

Shabbat Shalom! :) <3

Yummy in my tummy

Before I head into this post, I just want to let you know that I switched back to the button that Rosi made for me, I just like them more than the ones I made. I am so bad at making up my mind. :P

Here is a recipe my mom ran across the other day, and in all truth and honesty these are the best cookies I have ever had! No kidding! :D

Now before you freak out about the amount of ingredients, let me just tell you that we normally half or even quarter this recipe. But I can tell you they are ddddd-licious!

Neiman Marcus Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

    • 2 cups butter
    • 4 cups flour
    • 2 teaspoons baking soda
    • 2 cups sugar
    • 5 cups blended oatmeal
    • 24 ounces chocolate chips
    • 2 cups packed brown sugar
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1 (8 ounce) Hershey Bars (grated) (this ingredient is optional, we normally put butterscotch chips in instead)
    • 4 large eggs
    • 2 teaspoons baking powder
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla
    • 3 cups chopped nuts (your choice)

Directions

1. Measure oatmeal and blend in a blender to a fine powder.
2. Cream the butter and both sugars.
3. Add eggs and vanilla.
4. Mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder and soda.
5. Add chocolate chips, grated Hershey Bar and nuts.
6. Roll into 1 inch balls and place 2-inches apart on a cookie sheet.
7. Bake for 10 minutes at 375° or until golden.

Shabbat Shalom!! We will be enjoying our rest day with friends tomorrow, what will you be doing?

Announcements!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I didn't fall off the face of the earth... :) I know that I haven't posted anything for a while, but I have been so busy around here, it's getting a little chaotic. So, I just want to run you through some changes that I will be making to this blog...

At the beginning of Feb. I started making a new blog, called Seasons of My Heart, but now I have decided that I will just keep this one and make a bunch of changes to it... Such as, new design, new buttons, new everything! I want to start fresh. (By the way Rosi, please don't think that I don't like the buttons you made for me, because I do, and think they are gorgeous!!) :D In a nut shell, I feel bored with this blog, so I want to really make some changes to it. :)

I also want to let you know that Miss Rachel from Peculiar Treasures has gotten her magazine Tehila up and running! :D She has done a marvelous job with everything! And I encourage you to follow her website... :)

And HAPPY PURIM!! If you would like to read my article about purim (it's on Tehila) just click here.

So, without further ado, I would like to wish you and your family a blessed Sabbath and get started with my new blog stuff. See ya soon! :)

Shabbat Link-Up!!

What is a Shabbat Shalom (Sabbath Peace) LINKY?
Well, in short it is a bunch of Sabbath keepers from all over the U.S.(maybe someday even farther reaching than that) who link together through a LINKY TOOL to share Scriptures, worship music, devotions, studies, encouraging articles, special blessings, how and where they will be glorifying our Creator or ways they have found to keep the 7th Day Sabbath set apart.

We would love for you to join in and share! Here's how:
* To share a link to your post, use the Linky below.
* Simply share your link along with title and image. Make sure the specific link goes directly to your post.
* Please remember to link back here so that other people can join us!
* If you do not have a blog and would like to share something, please leave a comment. Thank you!

Shabbat Shalom Link Up can also be found at: (some of these may not have the linky up yet this morning, so please be sure to check back with them later on in the day)

If you are new to observing Shabbat on the seventh day, I pray that the Ruach (Holy Spirit) will give you peace and lead your family. We have been observing Shabbat for many years and we continue to be convicted as we take time to study His Word and become doers of His Word. If you are looking for more information on Sabbath and His appointed times, please leave me a comment.

*If you would like to also host and have this Link Up on your Blog, please contact Carmen HERE
