Oh, so good

Yesterday, my friend Lyssa and I made the best matzo dessert ever. I am so not kidding when I say this! :)

Chocolate Toffee Matzo

1 stick of butter
1 cup of brown sugar
chocolate chips
a few sheets of matzo
chopped up nuts of your choice (we used pecans)

Preheat oven to 250 degrees F. Place the butter and brown sugar in a saucepan, bring to a slow boil, stirring constantly. Let boil for about one minute. Spread a couple of sheets of matzo onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Remove toffee from heat, and spread evenly over the matzo. Place into the preheated oven, and bake for about 7 to 10 minutes. Take out of the oven, and sprinkle chocolate chips (as many or as little as you like) over the hot toffee. Wait about a minute for the chocolate to melt, then spread it evenly over the toffee. Chop up your favorite type of nuts, and sprinkle over the top. Let cool for about 10 minutes. Then dig in!

  1. Ooooh Yummm! I so want to make that!!!:D

  2. I totally made this this Passover! I agree, it's delicious! :D

  3. This was delish Autumn!

  4. Autumn, yes, this is very good!I agree with you that this is the best matzo dessert ever!
We made this for two previous Pesach meals (although this year we did not). We call it Matzo Butter Crunch! We froze our's both times & it was SO hard to wait until they were frozen to dig in!
