Since our family will be gone for the weekend, I thought that I should post something... But I didn't know what topic to post on, so, here is a video I'd like to share with you. I hope you enjoy it!
This is one of my favorite songs... Partly, because it reassures me that YHWH thinks I am beautiful, and that I should think so too. Whenever I look in the mirror, I should be looking at myself through YHWH's eyes... Not my own, or the world's. I shouldn't care what everyone else thinks about my clothes, or hair... Or any of my other features. Everyone's true beauty should lie on the inside of your heart, not on the outside.

Please share with me your thoughts and comments about this matter... Thank you! =D
{OH, by the way! There is a quick giveaway happening over at Feelin' Feminine! It ends Oct. 31st, so hurry! I think you'll really like it!}

This is so true. :) I think it's so wonderful that as Daughters of the King we are princesses, and we are a very special kind of beautiful~ the type of beautiful that comes from the inside out. Our beauty is shown through the love of Christ that people see in us, the way we treat others, the attitude we have towards God and His children! ^^ One of my favorite verses: "That is the way the holy women of old made themselves beautiful. They trusted God and accepted the authority of their husbands. For instance, Sarah obeyed her husband, Abraham, when she called him her master. You are her daughters when you do what is right without fear of what your husbands may do." 1st Peter 3:5-6
ReplyDeleteSo, in the same way, our beauty comes from the submission we show in marriage (and through a gentle and quiet spirit: 1st Peter 3:4!), and, as you and I are still unmarried, in our father's homes!
This doesn't mean that we cannot be outwardly beautiful, that is a gift God blesses each of us with! Pretty eyes or skin, a nice laugh or smile, those are all things I believe our husbands we cherish about us. :) Outward beauty is not by any means the focus...but it doesn't mean we need to be frumpy potato-sack versions of women. There's nothing feminine about that! But I definitely think the majority of a Christian woman's beauty (whether she is physically beautiful (by worldly standards) or not), comes from the love of Christ Jesus that shines and spills into everything she does! :)
