YUM-O! (My new favorite saying)

My friend Starlie gave me permission to use this recipe... HERE is the link to her blog.

~Apple Jack Cookies~

• 1 cup light brown sugar 
• 1/2 cup shortening 
• 1 egg 
• 1 1/2 cup flour 
• 1/2 tsp. baking soda 
• 1/2 tsp. salt 
• 1 tsp. nutmeg 
• 1 cup chopped unpeeled apple

 CREAM together sugar and shortening. Beat in egg.

 SIFT together dry ingredients and add to mixture. 

 MIX until well blended. Stir in apples. Drop in the shape of balls on a greased cookie sheet.

 BAKE at 375 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
